Cheeming Boey, Artist
His Inspiration
Hokusai "The Great Wave Off Hangagawa"
Listen to him talk...
Watch him work
He is amazingly talented and works straight with the pen using no plan or sketch before. He said that he could be 99% complete with his cup and one final stroke can make or break the design. We were inspired by his genius and created out own cups in Advanced art.
It’s your turn! Make your cup as intricately detailed as possible. Use lines, shapes, patterns, designs, drawings…
Just be creative & detailed.

Teacher Example
Cheeming Boey uses a lot of shading and value.
He does this using ink techniques. This is hard to do!!!
Practice first with marker/ink techniques
