Portrait inspired by the paintings of Erik Jones

With students of Year 9, we approached the theme of the portrait. Following a pattern drawn on a sheet of squared paper, each student drew a female face in pencil with beautiful results. To make it more creative we have completed our design with a colorful background with collage, inspired by the paintings of an American artist named Erik Jones, who surrounds his portraits of  women in  whirls of colorful brush strokes. Here’s the process and the results of our work.
