She uses elements of the world in the bubble to connect to the world outside.

HOW I USED HER IDEAS TO INSPIRE MY OWN ART...
I used the idea of the 2 worlds in and out of the bubble for my piece above.

LET'S MAKE ART
To Begin:
Find a colored paper to use for bubble.
Use a large circle to trace.
Find color that will work well on your paper.
I chose to use a mono-chromatic scheme.
WHatever colors you use, try to keep it mostly in the family of the paper.
Begin drawing a landscape inside the bubble.
Start off light and get darker as you are happy with the outcome.
Make sure you have a horizon line to divide the sky and ground.
How can you add depth and space to the drawing?
Overlapping, size, position, value?

Begin using the colors you chose for the bubble to add dimension to your shapes.
Leave some areas of original paper showing through.
When you are done, cut our bubble and glue to a larger paper that contrast with the bubble color:
color compliment or warm/cool.
Begin drawing you idea for the world outside your bubble.
Use at least 3 areas in the drawing to link together the 2 worlds;
sharing a horizon line, connecting a shape, morphing an object into another object.
Choose colors that will work well with the background paper.
Leave some color exposed in the background.
You are done.
