Fishes in warm and cool colors …

With the 6th grade students, we made an acrylic painting to experience the variety of warm and cool colors. Working on color theory we discovered how many colors can be “warm” , and “cool”. The figure is a pretext for understanding the composition of colors, to find new gradation and mixtures. Here’s how we created our fanciful “aquarium”.

We need:

– drawing sheet

– pencil snd rubber

– tempera or acrylic paint

– white paint or white corrector for the bubbles

– permanent black marker
