明度（VALUE）

定义：明度指一种颜色或灰度的深浅程度。

明度可施加于二维形体（SHAPE）上，使其呈现为三维立体造型（FORM）。

这称为明暗/排线（SHADING）。

以下是添加明暗/排线前后的形体示例（使用铅笔绘制）。

绘制明度时，应做到：

平滑（Smooth）、均匀（Even）、有对比（Contrast）。

请用 S.E.C. 法检查你的明度效果。

本练习表是通过多种方式练习明度色阶的绝佳工具。

你可以打印使用，也可自行绘制……

多数初学者艺术家使用铅笔、彩铅或蜡笔进行明暗/排线。

这是最易上手的方式，因其依靠力度（pressure）控制明暗深浅。

进阶艺术家可能更倾向挑战性更高的明暗/排线方式：

钢笔与墨水（PEN and INK）。

这种方式依赖线条或图案的疏密间距，而非力度。

线条或图案越密集，明度越深；
线条或图案越稀疏，明度越浅。

最常用技法包括：

平行排线（Hatching）
交叉排线（Cross Hatching）
点绘（Stippling） 与 涂 scribble（Scribbling）。

在你的速写本中，以 “明度（VALUE）” 为标题记录以下内容：

形体上的明度/排线效果，取决于光源位置（LIGHT SOURCE）。

请为每种媒介分别绘制一条明度色阶：
要求做到平滑（单向运笔）、均匀（各阶明度分布均等）、有对比（包含最深与最浅两极）。
媒介包括：铅笔、彩铅、蜡笔、墨水（共 4 种，墨水需体现 4 种不同技法）。
请注意：铅笔、彩铅与蜡笔依靠力度（PRESSURE）表现明度；
而墨水则需依靠线条/图案的疏密（SPACING）或设计形式来表现明度。

VALUE

DEFINITION: VALUE is the darkness or lightness of a color or greyscale.

Value can be use on a 2D SHAPE to make it appear as a 3D FORM.

This is called SHADING.

Here is an example of shapes before and after adding Value with pencil.

When you create value, it should be

Smooth, Even, and have Contrast.

Take a S.E.C. to check your values.

This worksheet is a wonderful way to practice your value scales in a variety of ways.

You can print it or make your own scales...

Most beginner artists shade with PENCIL, Colored Pencil, or Crayon.

This is the easiest way to shade because it uses pressure to create darks and lights.

Advance artist may prefer the more challenging way to shade, which is with

PEN and INK.

This does require spacing of lines or patterns rather than pressure.

The closer the lines and patterns, the darker the value.

The further apart the lines or patterns, the lighter the value.

The most used techniques are:

Hatching

Cross Hatching

Stippling and Scribbling.

Each color can become a TINT (adding white) or a SHADE (adding black)

to create a darker or lighter version if itself.

Definition- How Light or Dark a color or hue can be.

Values in order on a scale can show visual organization.

VALUE added to a 2 dimensional SHAPE can make it appear as a 3 dimensional FORM.

Value/Shading on a shape changes according to the LIGHT SOURCE.

Create a Smooth (1 direction) , Even (equal amount of each value), and Contrasting (darkest and lightest) Make a VALUE SCALE for each medium:

pencil, colored pencil, crayon, and ink (4 techniques).

Note that PENCIL, Colored Pencil, and crayon use PRESSURE to create VALUE.

In contrast, INK requires SPACING or lines/designs to create VALUE.
