Shape and abstraction: drawings inspired by Harold Hollingsworth

Inspired by the works of Harold Hollingsworth, these drawings started from a recognizable form (the letters of our name) and then have been cut out into small squares. After that, we have recomposed them casually, in an abstract image. With students of 9th Grade, we have talked about some aspects of modern and contemporary Art, introducing the concepts of abstraction, creative expression, visual message of the artwork. It has been a good start to the new school year!
